I purchased two Beaglebone Black boards earlier in 2014. They did not have the compute power I was looking for. I gave one to my oldest daughter (she is a geek too). The other languishes on my shelf waiting for my time and attention which are in short supply as of late.

Since I could not get the Cubox-i in the quantity I wanted, I purchased two Wandboard Quad boards with all the trimmings. I also found that the Wandboards were of a high quality and had excellent performance. In fact I used the Wandboards to help me upgrade the SD cards for my Cubox-i systems.
I have purchased two Cubox-i4pro systems. After loading Ubuntu Linux on them I found them to be very powerful embedded systems. The quad core ARM processors provided ample compute horsepower.
